Lost DogsYour dogs are part of your family. Practically your best friends. You bathe your dogs, feed them, and love them. But one day, you are unable to find your dogs. This can seem to be an earth shattering event. It can break your heart. You begin to search for your lost dogs as soon as possible. The best and most effective way to locate your missing dogs is to do an organized search. There are a few steps that you can follow to help your search be successful. First, you should inform your neighbors of your lost dogs. If you can, organize a search party to look for the lost dogs. You can even have children involved in this search. Have them search by bikes, by foot, and by car in the area. File a lost dogs report to local dog shelter agencies in the surrounding area so they can inform you if your dog has been found. Go to the local agencies and shelters at least once daily to check for new arrivals. If you can, make fliers of the lost dogs. On these fliers you should include the date the dogs were lost, name of the dog, description of the dogs, describe any unique markings, and a picture and your phone number. It is best if you include a reward offer. This gives people an extra incentive to try to help find your dog. Once you have your fliers, put the fliers up all around your neighborhood, nearby shopping centers, vet clinics, and anywhere else in your surrounding neighborhood and other neighborhoods. Lost dogs sometimes are drawn to places that they are familiar with. If you recently moved to from a nearby neighborhood, put up fliers in this neighborhood also. This will greatly increase the potential of finding your lost dogs. The sooner you find the dogs, the happier you and your family will be. |
