Dog RampsHave you ever heard of dog ramps? It may sound like a new age design, but the concept of dog ramps have been around for years. It used to be only two ways that dogs can get on and off of things such as a bed. The first way would be for the dog to simply jump on or off the bed if he physically was able to or for you to life the dog on and off the bed if you physically are able to. Either way, it is a lot of wear and tear on yours and your dog’s body. So why not have a simple solution to all of this? Investing in dog ramps will definitely come in handy. Dogs enjoy getting on and off of things several times an hour for various reasons. There may not even be a reason, but dogs still like to be on the move. This may feel like a tedious job to you if you are the one who has to get your dog on and off of the bed. When you buy your dog ramps, keep in mind that some dogs may not take to the dog ramps immediately. If this happens, you may have to introduce the ramps to your dog. It is suggested to lay the dog ramps completely flat on the floor, and walk your dog across the ramps. Follow this up with a tasty treat, and then raise the ramp. When you have your dog walk up the ramps for the first time, take him by the collar and lead him up to the reward on the top of the ramp. You should only have to repeat this process once or twice. If your dog ramps are attached to your car, have your dog climb up the ramps and take your dog on a ride. This way he can associate climbing up the ramps to the car with a car ride. Dog ramps are definitely practical and useful. Dog ramps will save you and your dog plenty of time and energy. If you invest in these ramps, your dog will greatly appreciate it. |
