Obtain plenty of information about the dog’s reproductive cycles, mating habits, gestation, birthing process, and newborn care and weaning process of the dogs. If you do not have two purebred dogs, you can advertise in your local newspaper or online that you are intending to breed a certain type of dog, and would like to find a prospective mate for your dog. Before you breed the dogs together, try to find owners for the new puppies. If you do not have new owners, you may have a lot of puppies on your hands to take care of.
